Piconergy is a social enterprise which envisions the world free from energy poverty. Our mission is to facilitate access to clean, affordable, and reliable energy solutions for the financially poor and underserved households

Our empathetic perspective at Piconergy enables us to understand the pressing energy needs of the under-served, and also their aspirations. This inspires us to come up with effective clean energy solutions which significantly improves the lives of users.

Our expertise in developing clean energy access projects using our PEAT methodology generates incredibly high social returns on per rupee invested. This helps us bring several stakeholders on a common platform and catalyze the socio-economic development of the underserved through high impact clean energy access projects


Harpreet Singh Tibb

Director & Advisor

Harpreet has spent the last 19 years in various roles in Hindustan Unilever Limited and Kellogg India Pvt Ltd. His purpose in life is “To do well by doing good to the society” and believes in sustainable living. He developed the largest hand wash campaign ‘Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetana’ aimed at reducing deaths due to diarrhea among children – a campaign that touched the lives of 100 million people. He also developed a breakfast campaign called #feedingdreams – where 2 million breakfast were served to students without access to breakfast to help them with the right start to achieving their dreams.  As Piconergy’s strategic advisor, he has defined the vision for the company and is responsible for the commercialisation of it’s programs.

Bhushan Trivedi

Founder & CEO

Bhushan believes in blending the spirit of entrepreneurship and social innovation to create high impact clean energy access solutions which have the ability to alleviate millions of financially poor and underserved households out of energy poverty. In his previous roles, Bhushan has worked on clean energy access projects in Myanmar developing the country’s first Gold Standard registered carbon financed clean cookstove project and developing solar PV microgrids for rural households

Akshay Angolkar


Akshay joined Piconergy as its first volunteer in 2015 and he now drives the operations of our projects, where he develops strategic plans for operational activities, implementing and managing them.Akshay is a electronics and telecommunications engineering graduate from Mumbai University
